Gary Lawrence received a B.A. from BYU in political science in 1967 and a Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1972 in a program that focused on the measurement and analysis of attitudes.
Before starting his own firm in 1986, he was a vice president of Decision Making Information, the survey research company that conducted Ronald Reagan’s polling work from governor through president. He has conducted over 2500 research studies for clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to public office holders.
A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Lawrence served a Mormon mission in Germany, has been a bishop, and has held many church leadership and teaching positions.
He resides in Orange County, California, with his wife, Jan. They are the parents of four children and have four grandchildren.
